The Ethiopian Construction Technology and Management Professionals Association (ECoTMPA) is delighted to announce that preparations are progressing successfully for the upcoming International Workshop on “Health and Safety in Construction: Building Safer and Sustainable Infrastructure in Ethiopia.” This landmark event will bring together leading professionals, industry experts, policymakers, academics, and stakeholders to explore practical strategies and innovative solutions for enhancing health and safety standards across Ethiopia’s construction sector.
The workshop will be held on June 12, 2026, starting at 08:30 AM, at the prestigious Inter Luxury Hotel, Addis Ababa.
Organized by ECoTMPA in collaboration with the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and other esteemed partners, the workshop will feature more than 15 international speakers and professionals with extensive expertise in occupational health and safety, construction management, infrastructure development, and sustainable engineering practices. The event will serve as a valuable international platform for professional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and experience sharing, fostering collaboration among local and global industry leaders.
As Ethiopia continues to experience rapid growth in infrastructure and construction development, ensuring safe and healthy working environments has become more important than ever. Construction remains one of the most dynamic sectors contributing to national development, yet it also presents significant occupational risks that require continuous attention and improvement.
